I recently got this gorgeous canvas from Easy Canvas Prints. It has not yet found its home yet in my new place but I just had to tell you all how pleased I am with it. At first, I was little nervous about having one of my photos printed, they're like my little babies and if they weren't going to be done right I didn't want them printed at all. Especially this photo from my favorite photos post. You know it's one of my favorite photos I've ever taken because it means so much to me. The light and tones were edited just the way I wanted them to be. But I really had no reason to be so nervous, Easy Canvas Prints did an absolutely superb job with my photo. The tones were spot on, the quality and the build were so much better than I expected.

I decided to go with the image wrap which looks great with its chunky edges. The people at Easy Canvas Prints were very accommodating and answered every question I had promptly. I'm so pleased with my very first professional print/canvas and I encourage you all to give them a try if you're ever considering a canvas print.

I've been a long-time fan of all things cute and Japanese, but I have never been able to afford to travel to this magical land. One thing in particular I have always wanted to try was Purikura, a Japanese photobooth. Of course it pulls on my camera/photo editing heart strings, but they're not like the ones in America, which are currently dying a slow death. You can actually edit the photos and they're everywhere in Japan. If you're like me and have also been wanting to try Purikura, you don't have too look far.

This great service called PuriCute allows you to make your own purikura online! To upload a photo is very simple, you just click the "Make a PuriCute Pic" and from there it will ask you to browse your computer for photos. Then you can add frames from the left drop-down menu and stamps on the right. Probably the best part of all is that you can order sticker prints of your creations, which I would personally use for scrapbooking and journaling for an extra fun touch. You can also add friends and enter in contests, which I have already entered in two to win free sticker sheets.

You can embed the photo into your website, save it as a JPG, or upload it straight to Facebook or other social networking sites from PuriCute. That's my kitten Willow that I rescued last year. She'll be celebrating her first birthday in June!

DIY: Glitter Painting

As I get older I find myself being more crafty and just burying my nose in interior design/craft blogs from indie artists. For about 2 months now I have been watching Martha Stewart EVERY morning and I saw this little gem on her show. Basically what you do is upload a favorite photo that you want to be covered in glitter! From there it converts the image to a more simplified version that looks as if it has been ran in the cutout filter in PS. It also suggests the color of glitter that would look best. It's sort of a paint-by-numbers with glitter. What a great project for the holiday season! Don't forget to check out the tips!
