Neat tutorial…I like how you had the viewer interacting with the flash video. My vids are simply vocal instructions as I run through the process. This could be another alternative that would help make things stick more for people. Keeps my creative juices flowing for sure! Good work!
@Davy: Thanks a lot! It’s good to know someone appreciates my efforts. And now you know how to remove something
@Jason: Thanks! Yeah, I thought a hands-on approach would be better for learning Photoshop. Things can get pretty confusing at times, that’s for sure. I like your site as well. I’m a Canon fan too.
I was wondering what version of Photoshop you were using because on this tutorial you had me until the make selection part. I looked everywhere on my menus and could not find something that remotely looked like this!! Thanks for your hard work!!
@Sharon: I am using CS2. The pen tool is grouped in with some other tools so you may have overlooked it. Just right-click with your mouse and it should be be the first one in that spot or you can use the keyboard shortcut P. I hope that helped! Thanks for letting me know!
I have tried this three times and cannot get it to work. When I click clone then alt and the area I want to clone, then move to paint over the area I want removed, nothing happens. Could you tell me what is wrong? Thanks! Love the tutorials.
I’m using ps7 with imageready 7. Anyhow could you tell me how you made the rollover pic with the before & after pic in this (removing unwanted object) tutorial please? I have looked everywhere & can’t find what I’m looking for.

Thanks for your hard work at the tutorial. I never knew how people removed things from photoshop.

Hey Stella! Thanks so much for the comment! But to answer your question I’m not quite sure. When you try to clone does it not affect the image at all?
thanks for the great instructions-can’t wait to try it out now:)
@Kim: Thanks for the nice comment, Kim. Happy Photoshopping!
thnx. nice
Hello!
Your website is wonderful! could you do a tutorial on rounded corners for a photograph, and also, how to make two photos into one? I would love that!
